#1. Communicate. Consistently and often. The better you get at communicating (which also includes doing a solid job of listening, the better off you and your partner will be as a co-parenting team.
#2. Trust your instincts. I always say that the human race didn’t survive this long because mom’s know everything. Dads do things differently sometimes, and that’s okay. Don’t be afraid to dive in and take the initiative with your baby. It’s one of the best ways to build your confidence and really own this thing called fatherhood.
Bonus tip: Connect with other dads. It can feel lonely sometimes, being a dad. Having a community of other dads you can connect and talk with can really help you realize that the things you’re dealing with aren’t as daunting as they may seem.
