We asked them after their baby arrived about their most important lessons from their Boot Camps:
“Postpartum. And communication. The communication factor was a bit hard the first few months. The lack of sleep. Life changes with a baby. It got to us. Every night after the baby went down we talked about our highlights and areas of improvements and game plans (i.e., what we can do to fix it). And til this day we continue to talk after our son goes to bed.”
“It got us talking a lot about our expectations of one another before he came, and it was really helpful how real the veterans were about how hard it was, especially in the beginning. It was nice to know that we weren’t alone.”
